Henderson cats’ TNR PILOT PROGRAM
A TNVR program allows community cats to live while stopping the breeding process to improve the cat population over time. TNVR is a proven method of reducing the cat population by actively trapping community cats for spay/neuter, rabies vaccination, and an ear tip (where the top portion of the ear is clipped while under anesthesia) to indicate their TNVR status. Socialized “tame” cats will be transferred to a shelter or rescue for adoption. Feral cats are returned to the original trap location. TNVR is best implemented through a colony-by-colony approach.
The pilot program will be funded entirely by Henderson Cats. Our organization will receive no funding from the City of Henderson, and we rely entirely on donations from the public and volunteers.
